Therapedic International has strengthened its already powerful position in Colorado as the result of the merger of two area leaders who will now jointly produce goods under the Therapedic brand. According to Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic President and CEO, Sermaro International, headed by Rodney Goodrum, the Therapedic licensee in Denver Colorado since 2009 has merged with Old West Mattress Company, headed by Lester L. Mesner, the former Colorado Spring Air licensee, from 1982 to 2007. The new entity, which will continue as Old West Mattress Company, will remain the Therapedic licensee for this region. Lester L. Mesner will be CEO and Rodney Goodrum will be president of the merged entities.
In making the announcement, Borreggine said, “This merger is the ultimate win-win-win scenario. Successful, smart and territory-dominant licensees are what make Therapedic successful,” adding, “and when entities such as these two producers come together, they win, Therapedic wins and all of their customers win as well.”
Commenting on the decision to continue as a Therapedic licensee, Goodrum explained that, “Therapedic has become a well-respected brand under Gerry Borreggine’s leadership and we are extremely pleased to continue to be a part of the family of factories that will continue to contribute to that success.”
“With the combined resources of each company, the new entity will be in a stronger position to compete in today’s ever changing bedding landscape,” said Mesner. “The merger will strengthen our ability to continue to provide personalized service and innovative products to our customers.”
