Tempur-Pedic To Sponsor the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association

The most elite skiers, snowboarders and freeskiers in the United States will soon be able to experience the impact a great night’s sleep has on athletic performance as Tempur-Pedic North America, LLC announces its sponsorship with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) through 2016. The partnership makes Tempur-Pedic the official sleep provider of the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Freeskiing and U.S. Snowboarding.

“Extending our ground-breaking partnership with Tempur-Pedic, which began in 2010, is a huge win for our athletes and the entire organization at USSA,” said Michael Jaquet, Chief Marketing Officer, USSA.

Tempur-Pedic will activate its partnership with the USSA with a Tempur-Pedic Sleep Center at the USSA’s Center of Excellence in Park City, Utah, offering world-class athletes a highly effective venue to rest and recover. Additionally, Tempur-Pedic will serve as an associate sponsor of the U.S. Freestyle Championships scheduled for March 2015 in Steamboat Springs, CO.

"To compete at a world-class level in skiing, freeskiing and snowboarding requires incredible athleticism and endless hours of training as well as quality rest and recovery,” said Patrice Varni, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing for Tempur-Pedic. “We look forward to delivering the best night’s sleep for USSA athletes, just as we do for Tempur-Pedic owners around the world.”

“Quality sleep is a critical element to achieving peak performance for any USSA athlete,” said Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn. “As a Tempur-Pedic owner, I am pleased that they have joined our team and look forward to their continued support.”

"Our coaches, trainers, and medical staff have long preached the benefits of quality sleep and rest for the recovery of our world class athletes,” added Jaquet. “Having a partner like Tempur-Pedic that not only can assist us with this but is a world class leader in bedding and mattresses is a perfect example of a sponsorship that helps us be ‘Best in the World.’”

Tempur-Pedic offers every sleeper personalized comfort thanks to TEMPUR material, which adapts to support the body's unique shape, weight and temperature. Pressure points in areas such as shoulders and heels are reduced, resulting in less tossing and turning. Plus, heavier areas sink in further, while lighter areas sink in less. This even support ensures better alignment, so sleepers can fully relax and achieve deeper rest.
