Therapedic Expands Buoyancy Collection With Top-End Model
With the early success of its Buoyancy mattress collection, Therapedic International will introduce a new higher-end model to its first gel-latex mattress collection at the fall High Point Market. Like the other mattresses in the series, the Oceanic pairs two of the most popular trends in the bedding industry—latex and gel—and adds an additional high-tech foam layer. The high-tech foam layer provides 55 percent more “bounce” and support than other foams.
The super-plush Oceanic features a layer of innovative high resiliency foam designed with more supportive and bouncy characteristics. Atop this layer, the 14-inch profile mattress uses progressively softer one-inch layers of latex for a luxurious yet supportive feel. It also features Therapedic’s unique hourglass-design made from a gel-layer fused atop natural latex to provide both cooling benefits and support for key areas of the body, namely shoulders, hips and the lumbar area. The Oceanic has a suggested retail price of $3,999 in queen.

A visual stand-out on the showroom floor, the entire Buoyancy Collection boasts a contemporary stretch knit ticking with an abstract pattern in a sleek lavender, grey and white color palette. The collection’s four other models include the base model—the 11-inch Arctic—which features the innovative hourglass gel-topped latex set atop a foam base; the 12- inch Indian includes two one-inch layers of latex; the 13-inch Atlantic model consists of three one-inch layers of latex; and the 14-inch Pacific, boasts four one-inch layers of natural latex for the ultimate in comfort and durability.
