Spring Air’s Sleep Sense™ BioMax™ is SSA Documented

Spring Air International will show its complete, SSA-documented, BioMax™ specialty line at the High Point market. Exhibiting in the Specialty Sleep Association (SSA) showroom, the company will occupy nearly 20 percent of the 5,700-square-foot shared space— home to multiple specialty mattress producers and SSA members.

“This is a great opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to specialty sleep and our intention to take a leadership role in the category,” commented Spring Air president Rick Robinson. ”We’re pleased to have another market to show these acknowledged eco-conscious products which closely follows the presentations we made in Las Vegas and Tupelo.”

Documented by the SSA to meet several key environmental standards, Spring Air’s Sleep Sense™ BioMax introduction is the first product line from among the nation’s top 15 producers to achieve a Level II rating in keeping with standards established by the SSA’s Environmental & Safety Program™.

The High Point presentation will include the complete line, which carries a 20-year warranty and is expected to retail from $1,299 to $2,199 in queen.

According to J.P. LeDoux, senior vice president of sales, the beds feature Oeko-Tex® Standard 100-certified latex foams and panel fabrics, as well as CertiPUR®-US-certified polyurethane foams. BioMax models use silverinfused, knit/suede zippered covers that are Oeko-Tex-certified to contain no harmful substances. The foundations are made from sustainable wood certified by Canada’s Forest Stewardship Council—a patented design used with all Back Supporter® Sleep Sense products.

“In developing the BioMax line, we wanted to achieve a meaningful level of environmental transparency, provide full and fair disclosure to both retailers and consumers, and make real progress toward reducing our impact on the planet,” LeDoux explained.

All Sleep Sense products feature a patented, multi-level foam core design that has varying surface heights, delivering pressure reduction and support at strategic body points. Layers of Conforma™ foam, memory foam or Oeko-Tex certified Talalay latex “interlock” with the core. A Celsion® latex topper, positioned over this design, works to dissipate body heat and regulate sleeping temperature.

Spring Air also employs a scalloped border treatment to point up the three zones of lumbar support, which gives BioMax beds an intuitive and aesthetically unique specialty profile. LeDoux said elements of the extensive, in-store marketing package developed for BioMax will be featured in Spring Air’s market presentation.

“Since we launched BioMax,” LeDoux concluded, “we’ve experienced a high level of interest and written a lot of new business. We’re very proud of that.”
