Spring Air Leverages Licensee Network To Develop Boxed Beds

In a move designed to build on the strength of its global network of licensing partners, Spring Air International has teamed with one of its international suppliers to develop a boxed bed collection that provides its retail partners with a competitive alternative to the growing direct-to-consumer channel. The four-model collection is priced to retail from $299 to $599 while maintaining Spring Air’s brand standards.

Three of the roll-packed mattresses are all foam construction, and the top model is a hybrid construction that features memory foam, pocketed coils and a combination of gel-infused memory foam, bamboo, charcoal ventilated foam and other support foams.

The boxed beds are Spring Air branded and will feature its logo.

Spring Air’s opening priced bed in the collection is an eight-inch foam mattress featuring a combination of two inches of cool-gel, bamboo-infused memory foam and six inches of green tea-enhanced memory foam. The $399, 10-inch model is crafted with three inches of cool-gel, bamboo-infused memory foam and seven-inch green tea support foam. The 12-inch, $599 bed adds a two-inch layer of latex-like memory foam to the other foams.

“Our solution delivers a tariff-free alternative from a partner we trust to carry our name internationally. This new collection of boxed beds gives retailers a quality, Spring Air branded product that hits lower price points so retailers can offer consumers a cash-and-carry option backed by our standards without the wait of an online order,” said Nick Bates, president of Spring Air International.

As the product grows, Spring Air will rely on multiple licensees to supply the boxed bed lineup.
