Simmons Bedding Company is advancing the technology of memory foam with its introduction of four new ComforPedic From Beautyrest® models at High Point Market. The new line, which is available to ship to retailers in mid-November, features cutting-edge technology that helps keep consumers sleeping at their ideal personal sleep temperatures.
Part of the Beautyrest Recharge® Sleep System, ComforPedic’s Aircool® Memory Foam now features a space-age substance called TruTemp™ gel. TruTemp technology is encapsulated throughout the gel beads in the line’s Aircool Memory Foam to help regulate sleeping temperature.
“Effective temperature management in memory foam continues to be the hot button, so to speak, as far as product performance goes, which is why we are extremely excited about our new ComforPedic line,” said Simmons CEO Gary Fazio. “For the first time, we can help keep a person in their ideal sleeping temperature zone so that they can get a restorative night’s sleep that rejuvenates their mind and body. In short, The Better Memory Foam just got better.”
TruTemp gel absorbs, stores and releases excess warmth as you move during the night.
“Other bedding players are using phase change material, but our application within the Recharge Sleep System is truly unique and particularly effective in that the TruTemp gel is locked into our Aircool Memory Foam layer,” said Brad Hill, Simmons’ senior vice president and general manager of specialty products, North America. “In addition, the powerful combination of TruTemp gel with existing attributes, such as Aircool Memory Foam’s open cell structure for freedom of movement and Aircool Design for enhanced airflow, is what ultimately delivers what we believe to be the best temperature control in the industry.”
The four new models will replace the company’s ComforPedic Loft line and have a suggested retail price of $1,299 to $2,499.
Simmons also debuted a new BeautySleep line at the High Point Market that delivers comfort, support and durability at introductory price points as well as attractive aesthetics designed to showcase luxurious knit fabrics and the line’s foam encasement for sleeping right to the edge.
All but one of the models feature 700-Series Wrapped Coils, and select models feature GelTouch foam for comfortable sleep. The line has a suggested retail price of $399 to $699.
“The new BeautySleep line offers great values at introductory price points, and we’re very pleased to be able to deliver the full package, including newly designed and effective point of sale, to our retailers,” said Rolf Sannes, Simmons’ vice president of Beautyrest brand management.
Beds in the 2012 line will feature a new stylized BeautySleep logo that was designed to complement the company’s Simmons, Beautyrest and ComforPedic logos unveiled in January.
