Shifman And Macy’s Partner On Luxury Mattress Collection
Shifman Mattresses and Macy’s have launched the Hotel Classic Collection at 117 retail stores and online, making this the largest retail launch for the Newark, N.J.-based luxury mattress maker.
The exclusive Hotel Classic Collection consists of five mattresses handcrafted using high-quality materials including premium cotton for all-seasons breathability, natural latex and super-soft luxe foam. Each mattress is embellished by an elegant traditional pattern and embroidered handles. All five styles feature Shifman’s signature two-sided construction, a characteristic specifically designed so the mattress can be flipped for extended comfort life and durability. Additionally, all five models are adjustable-bed friendly.
“The Hotel Classic Collection was designed to satisfy Macy’s demand for a high-quality, differentiated product offering for their customers that prefer luxury goods,” said Shifman President Bill Hammer.

The five-bed luxury collection includes three premium models that feature Shifman’s exclusive Sanotuft technique, a buttonless tuft that eliminates shifting and bunching. Retailing from $8,499 to $12,219 for a queen set, these exquisitely designed styles include the 14-inch cushion firm Charlotte; the 15-inch plush pillow top Meghan; and the 16-inch plush box top Alexandra. All three premium sets include a coil boxspring for added comfort and durability.
Completing the feature-rich collection are two additional styles retailing from $5,619 to $7,039 for a queen set and include a semiflex foundation: Diana, a 12-inch cushion firm mattress, and Catherine, a 14.5-inch plush pillow top mattress.
As with all Shifman mattresses, the Hotel Classic Collection is designed and handcrafted in the U.S.A. at the company’s Newark, N.J. factory, where local artisans have been making mattresses proudly since 1893.
