The Sealy Posturepedic® collection adds Optimum™, a new line of specialty gel mattresses that use gel memory foam to deliver optimal temperature, comfort and support levels.
“The biggest complaint about foam mattresses is they tend to sleep too hot and nothing is more frustrating than getting too hot while you sleep,” said Jodi Allen, Sealy’s chief marketing officer. “Our new gel line offers a new kind of mattress that works with your body to create an optimal sleeping temperature, drawing excess heat away from your body for deeper, more restful, sleep.”
The Optimum by Sealy Posturepedic uses new innovations like OptiCool™ gel memory foam fused with OUTLAST® material, to remove excess heat during the night. Sealy reports the OptiCool gel memory foam is 12 times more effective than standard memory foam or even gel alone.
In addition, the new line includes enhancements at both the top and bottom of the mattress. OptiSense™ memory foam creates a body-hugging top layer of comfort, while OptiCore™ is a firmer section at the bottom designed to provide a deeper layer of support and a substantial seating edge.
“We are extremely excited to introduce this new gel line of mattresses under our recently formed Specialty Bedding division. We expect it will be met with great enthusiasm by both consumers and retailers,” said Mark Delahanty, vice president/general manager, within Sealy’s specialty bedding division. “This mattress was developed to meet the evolving needs of our consumers and is different from anything currently on the market.”
