Ortho Mattress Sees Increase in Luxury Mattress Sales

Made-in-California mattress chain Ortho Mattress reported today its strongest sales, within its 65 Southern California stores, are  now in the luxury category confirming that Americans still place high value on a good night’s rest. Ortho Mattress stores offer a wide, high-end selection that includes their own mattress brands such as the Summerhill & Bischop collection, as well as leading national mattress brands such as Stearns & Foster, Sealy, Simmons and Tempur-Pedic.

Recently Ortho Mattress even outfitted the trendy Malibu Beach Inn’s forty-guest rooms and seven suites with their premium, special-label Summerhill & Bischop mattresses. This mattress collection meets the oceanside resort’s high standards.

“It’s an exciting time to manufacture luxury. We have unprecedented access to a wealth of new materials and technology — from memory foam to high-grade, cooling prescription gels,” said Ortho Mattress CEO Ken Karmin. “The Malibu Beach Inn project was a natural fit for our made-in-California luxury beds. Even boutique properties want to carve out a sleep edge. We partnered with the hotel to provide distinctive, comfortable sleep experiences to complement what many travelers had in their own homes.”

The Summerhill & Bischop mattress collection, which launched late last year, features individually wrapped, thicker-than-industry-standard coils that are strategically hand-nested for optimal support and minimal motion transfer. The mattresses are made with antimicrobial and premium natural fibers and materials.
