Kingsdown Enhances Luxury Hybrid Offerings With Crown Imperial Line Debut

Kingsdown, Inc. is one of only a handful of luxury mattress manufacturers in the U.S. who is seeing its sales grow rapidly as consumers embrace the design and craftsmanship of its products. As such, the company will introduce six handcrafted luxury hybrid bedding designs from its Crown Imperial Collection at the summer Las Vegas Market.

This exquisite collection is handcrafted by skilled artisans, incorporating a tufted silk and wool cover with embroidered crest featuring the Kingsdown crown ensconced within a wreath. The well-tailored hybrid collection boasts a multi-level coil construction story, highlighting layers of European-designed micro coils for support, along with a layer of tri-zone wrapped coils to reduce motion. The springs are topped with cooling gel-infused memory foam for the ultimate in supportive comfort.

Crafted to bolster Kingsdown’s presence in the luxury bedding market, the Crown Imperial Collection offers retailers a beautifully designed, high-end line of mattresses. With refined names like Empire, Sceptre, Crest, Imperial Mantle and Crown Marquis, these mattresses bring to mind exquisite castles from a regal era.

High-margin beds continue to be a growing segment in the category. Priced to retail from $1,999 to $3,999 in queen, beds in Kingsdown’s Crown Imperial range from a 13-inch profile to a plush 16.5-inch profile, with all models carrying a 10-year warranty. Manufactured in Kingsdown’s Mebane, N.C. production facilities, the Crown Imperial Collection is a rich complement to the company’s Passions Collection, which retails from $699 to $1,699, and Downton Abbey line, which retails from $1,699 to $4,999.

“The refined look, feel and design of this upscale Crown Imperial line is indicative of the beautiful, handcrafed details that are a major part of our 114-year history,” said Frank Hood, company President and CEO. “Our dealer partners and consumers view us as an upscale bedding resource and Crown Imperial secures our position in that space.”
