Heritage bedmaker Harrison Spinks is responding to customer demand by launching a new contemporary quilted mattress collection which is ideal for approximately 30% of consumers who don’t like tufts or buttons.
Seeing the bedmaker expand its core traditional offering with a more modern aesthetic that meets the changing needs of consumers, without compromising on quality or comfort, the new Synergy collection is 100% foam-free, glue-free and FR chemical treatment-free – better for a healthy sleep and kinder to the planet. It is 100% recyclable due to the use of Harrison Spinks’ Cortec glue-free pocket spring system, helping to combat the 7.5m mattresses that end up in landfill each year.
Cortec Pocket Springs Add To The Sustainable Story Of The Line
With pioneering spring systems at the core, the Synergy collection combines Harrison Spinks’ supportive Cortec pocket springs and thousands of contouring Micro Springs for unrivalled support night after night.
The Cortec spring system contains no glue meaning that each spring can work individually for maximum efficiency, contouring to your body with accuracy and precision, seamlessly uniting superior support, comfort and sustainability. Whereas Harrison Spinks’ Micro Springs, which are designed and manufactured in-house, have industry leading spring counts. Providing targeted support across the full sleeping surface, these tiny springs respond with precision accuracy to each sleepers’ individual movements, cradling your body as you sleep and operating within its own breathable pocket, keeping your spine in alignment.
Mattresses In The Line Use Recycled Steel & Eco-Fillings
The steel used for the springs has the highest possible recycled content, the eco fillings use a proportion of recycled material and the mattress borders are recyclable. All materials come from GRS (Global Recycle Standard) accredited suppliers, confirming Harrison Spinks’ commitment to an entirely recyclable, reusable and zero to landfill production to ensure it continues to lead the way in sustainability and change the way the world sleeps.
Each of the six new Synergy mattresses has a contemporary quilted, super soft 100% FR chemical treatment free sleeping surface. The first three models have a quilted top featuring multiple layers of sustainable Ecotex, a soft sumptuous breathable filling that is made up from recycled materials and can be recycled at end of life. While the top three models feature a blend of temperature regulating natural British wool in their quilted tops.
To complement the innovative technology, mattresses in the Synergy Collection are filled with luxuriously sustainable fillings. The top models also have the added benefit of home-grown hemp and flax and luxurious British wool for superior comfort and breathability.
Nick Booth, Nick Booth, Managing Director at Harrison Spinks, commented: “While our core offering is based around traditional designs we know we need to adapt to meet the changing needs of consumers. Our Synergy collection does just that by offering a range of skillfully handcrafted quilted mattresses with a unique, modern design that doesn’t compromise on comfort and has sustainability at the core.”
