Independent mattress and futon manufacturer Gold Bond Mattress Co. recently went above and beyond to deliver mattresses to a consumer in Maine’s Amish community using a horse and wooden cart. Working in conjunction with its retail partner Northeastern Rustic Furniture and its last-mile delivery team, the company was able to get the product – bed mattresses and a futon mattress – delivered safely and in a timely manner to the consumer’s home in Maine.
The delivery puts a fine point on Gold Bond’s exacting customer service, and its commitment to meeting the needs of its customers and end consumers. The fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturer is known among its retail partners for the owners’ accessibility and its willingness to deliver solutions.
“We pride ourselves on going the extra mile for our customers and our consumers,” said Robert Naboicheck, president of Gold Bond. “In this small Maine community, making the delivery in a manner that was in cultural sync with the customer was important to us, and we were able to make that happen by coordinating with Northeastern Rustic Furniture and the last-mile delivery team. One of the competitive advantages we offer our partners is that we can problem solve quickly and efficiently because our management team is involved in every aspect of the operation.”
