Offering brick-and-mortar stores another way to go head-to-head with online retailers, Corsicana Mattress will introduce the Early Bird brand at the winter Las Vegas Market. The new line features five foam and hybrid mattresses that will be sold both online and through its retail partners for $599 to $799 in queen.
While new mattresses will be roll-packed and shipped in a box similar to other direct-to-consumer bedding brands, Corsicana will enhance Early Bird sales through partnerships with independent retailers who will stock the product for consumer pick up or delivery to their home. The first of these partnerships will be operational in February—while the branded website will go live in March to help drive consumers to Corsicana’s retailers across the country. With the new program, consumers will be able to access the Early Bird website either directly or through a link on a retailer’s domain. Once the order is placed, it will be fulfilled by the local retailer, who will receive all the customer data.
