Classic Brands Meets Consumer Demand for Hybrids and Boxed Beds

Classic Brands is building on the sleep industry’s increased momentum in the hybrid mattress category with its Urban Loft collection, which offers a good-better-best merchandising story across three unique lines. The Hybrid Black, Hybrid Blue and Specialty line-ups are designed for retailers to more effectively compete with online bed-in-a-box retailers that are disrupting the sleep industry. The three Urban Loft offerings will be spotlighted at the Fall High Point Market.

Hybrid Black sits at the top end of the Urban Loft collection with queen mattresses priced to retail from $899 to $1,199. Crafted with a robust 1,272-coil count of six-inch encased micro coil spring unit, this mattress provides a supportive combination of encased coils, memory foam and latex. The 14-inch model boasts a layer of gel-infused memory foam and a layer of latex foam atop the coil base. Each mattress is dressed in a quilted, upscale knit cover for a luxurious look and feel.

Hybrid Blue, the mid-tier segment of Urban Loft, features a 768-encased coil spring unit offering a cushioned, firm feel. Dressed in crisp white with cool blue highlights, queen mattresses are priced to retail from $799 to $999.

The Specialty line is part of Classic Brands’ growing bed-in-a-box selection. Available in visco or latex, queen mattresses are priced at $499 to $699 retail and offer an accessible product for the omni-channel approach many retailers are considering.

“Our Urban Loft mattresses feature all the same elements of competitive price and convenience found online, paired with impressive quality. Our retail partners strategizing to compete effectively and cater to new customer expectations will find multiple size, style, and price options in this product line,” said Michael Zippelli, President and CEO of Classic Brands. “The mattresses are the perfect fit for retailers in search of a total, easy-to-implement merchandising story.”
