Classic Brands is bringing two new boxed bedding line-ups to the winter Las Vegas Market. The company is pushing the roll-pack category into higher retail price points with the hybrid Chic Couture Collection and helping brick-and-mortar retailers compete with online sellers with the new Roost Collection. Classic Brands is also set to unveil its thoughtfully re-designed Copper Smart Collection at the winter market.
Retailing from $799 to $1,499 in queen, the three-model Chic Couture lineup is made with two layers of encased coils that are blended with high-quality memory foam and latex for superior comfort and support.
“This new collection shatters the myth that boxed bedding is strictly a lower-end product. Boxed bedding is merely a more efficient delivery channel, not in any way a reflection of quality, innovation and style,” said Mark Owen, executive vice president of sales and business development at Classic Brands. “Chic Couture gives the retailer the opportunity to sell premium bedding at healthy margins, and it will help drive sales of all premium products.”
It is also the first mattress collection in the industry to have a cover with crushed jade woven into the fabric. Designed to keep the sleeper cool, the jade wicks moisture away from the body and has been proven effective as a cooling agent in several types of apparel fabric in recent years.
“It addresses objections about the possibility of getting too warm while sleeping on a mattress with memory foam or latex,” Owen continued. “This innovative fabric represents the leading edge of mattress cooling technology and fits perfectly with the upscale story behind Chic Couture.”
Classic Brands is also unveiling the Roost Collection at the winter market. Featuring a memory foam core and a sliver-infused fabric cover, the four-bed collection can be sold with coordinating pillows and a mattress protector. The mattresses will retail for $399 to $699 in queen, while the coordinating pillows retail from $49 to $79. The line features a MDI memory foam core, which retains its softness in all types of weather and recovers faster than other types of memory foam. The silver-infused ticking is anti-microbial and is resistant to dust mites and other allergens.
“This is the perfect bed-in-a-box program for dealers who need to address that segment of the market, but don’t have the option of using a private-label line,” said Mike Zippelli, CEO of Classic Brands. “It has many of the same features and benefits of higher-priced bedding that isn’t shipped in a box, with the option of adding pillows and a mattress cover.”
Classic Brands will also showcase an updated Copper Smart Collection at the winter market. The company has revamped the collection while still maintaining the copper-infused fabric cover for which it is known. Retailing from $499 to $799 in queen, the four-bed line-up now features a gel-infused MDI memory foam core. Classic Brands complements the collection with matching pillows that allow retailers to enhance their sales tickets by bundling the mattresses with coordinating accessories. As with all Classic Brands mattresses, the collection will be sold roll-packed.
“Our redesigned Copper Smart line retains all the anti-inflammatory properties and other health benefits of copper, and the comfort and support provided by the new memory foam core delivers an even better night’s sleep,” said Zippelli. “Consumer recognition of the benefits of copper is increasing rapidly and it’s a great way for retail sales associates to steer the discussion toward good sleep and healthy living.”
