BIA To Offer “Harvest” Natural Mattress Line Nationally

Mattress manufacturer, Bedding Industries of America (BIA), will debut its all-natural Harvest line of mattresses nationally for the first time at the upcoming High Point Market from April 2 to 6. The chemical-free mattresses are crafted using 100% natural latex, which is harvested from pure rubber sap from Hevea Brasiliensis trees in Asia, offering a healthier, more affordable alternative to other mattresses on the market.

All Harvest mattresses are made in the U.S. without synthetic foams, chemical fire retardants, dangerous pesticides, volatile organic compounds or gases. Created with only the finest materials – certified organic Dunlop latex, wool and cotton – as well as a green pressure relief coil system, they come with a 25-year warranty and 100-night sleep trial. Utilizing the same all-natural latex, Harvest also offers two types of mattress toppers – Green and Vegan – to complement any mattress.

“All-natural sleep products are becoming more popular with consumers,” said Stuart Carlitz, president and CEO of BIA. “The Harvest collection was launched in the Midwest, but when we acquired Illinois Sleep Products a few months ago, it gave us the opportunity to bring this terrific brand national.”

Harvest currently offers 11 models, which are Greenguard Gold certified. The mattresses feature organic Dunlap latex certified by the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), as well as organic cotton and wool that is produced to meet the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS).

Available for purchase online or in stores across the country, the mattresses are priced from $999 to $2,499 in queen.

The product’s unique store locator lets the consumer tailor their own shopping experience. They can search the product they are looking for, select a retailer and even decide if they want to book an in-store visit or virtual shopping experience.

“We have all seen the impact that digital has had on the mattress industry over the last 15 years. This shift to digital has created problems for consumers and retailers,” said Carlitz. “Consumers want to browse, shop, and purchase online, but mattresses are very hard to shop online by their very nature. Retailers are looking for a process and platform that better motivates a consumer store visit.”

“Also, we feel the market is in need of an improved, revamped business relationship between the manufacturer and retailer,” he added. “A relationship that benefits our retail partners for all transactions in their market, even when they take place on the manufacturer’s website. With Harvest, we created a model in which consumers can shop the way they want, and retailers get a cut no matter how a bed is purchased in their respective market: online or in-store.”

Harvest products will be on display at BIA’s showroom at Hight Point Market, which is located on the fourth floor of the Crown Mark Plaza, 200 E. Green Drive, in the Centennial Wrenn South neighborhood.
