Boosting its product development efforts in the consumer and OEM channels, Talalay latex producer Talalay Global recently hired veteran home décor and fashion industry executive, Margaret Nanni to be its vice president of product development. Nanni brings more than 20 years’ experience in merchandising, global sourcing and product management to the newly created position.
“Margaret has the ideal skill set that we need to move forward with our ambitious growth plans. She has a strong record of bringing new products to market successfully, and can spot trends and evaluate new opportunities,” said Marc Navarre, president and CEO of Talalay Global.
Most recently, Nanni served as senior vice president of merchandising, product development and global sourcing at SureFit Home Décor, a post she had held since 2011. At SureFit, she managed a team of 12 people that oversaw the product categories of slipcovers, furniture protectors and throws, decorative pillows, window coverings, bath curtains and outdoor covers.
From 2005 to 2011, she was vice president of product development, global sourcing and technical design for the women’s fashion catalog and e-commerce business at Spiegel Inc. From 2003 to 2005, she was vice president of global sourcing, production, technical design and quality control at Warnaco Calvin Klein Jeans, and she held a variety of merchandising and product development posts at several other major retailers.
“This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented senior leadership team of a company with significant growth potential and a unique product that delivers unmatched comfort,” Nanni said.
