‘Rooms To Go’ Promotes Precision Textiles’ Hygienic Mattress Testing Kits

Precision Textiles’ newly launched hygienic mattress testing kit is being deployed by furniture retailer Rooms To Go in a new advertising campaign emphasizing health and safety.

The individually packaged, one-time-use kits by Precision are included in the retailer’s advertising as a tool that allows customers to “shop comfortably” while trying out new mattresses in showrooms. Featuring a photograph of the packaged kits, the ad shows how the mattress and pillow sheets are used on a showroom mattress sample. In the advertisement, Rooms To Go shares with its customers that to provide “peace of mind, we’re giving you individually wrapped mattress and pillow covers to use to help you feel comfortable while trying out mattresses.”

The kits help assuage those fears while consumers shop safely.”

A leading supplier of coated fabrics, non-wovens and laminations for the bedding, automotive health care and home furnishings industries, Precision Textiles introduced the testing kits for mattresses and upholstery at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Part of the company’s SlumberShield branded line of mattress and pillow protection, each kit contains a mattress and pillow sheet that retail sales associates can use when consumers lie down on mattresses in the store.

The testing kits include a disposable flat mattress cover and a disposable pillow cover. The thin fabric is made of an anti-microbial polyester-rayon blend that is soft to the touch, does not crinkle and does not impact the feel of the mattress or pillow.

Seffner, Florida-based Rooms To Go operates 151 stores throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama and Virginia, as well as several franchise showrooms in Puerto Rico.
