Latexco US Unveils Expansion Plans At Open House

Latexco US, a manufacturer of latex and polyurethane foam products to the bedding industry, hosted its Open House event in Lavonia, GA on November 8, 2018. During the Open House, the company’s leaders gave special guests a closeup view of the investments and expansions that have been part of the company’s success over the past few years.

“We invested $12 million to meet both the needs of our valued customers and the demand & opportunities we see on the horizon in our business segments,” said Ben Ducatteeuw, CEO of Latexco US.

The event’s opening ceremony included statements from Ducatteeuw; Brent Limer, Latexco Chief Sales Officer; Bob Carstens, Latexco Chief Operating Officer; and Ryan Trainer, President of the International Sleep Products Association. In a moment of well-crafted drama, David Perry, Executive Editor of Furniture Today, interrupted Ducatteeuw to announce breaking news of Latexco’s next phase of expansion which includes a new western production facility that will double its size and capacity.

The new manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Ariz., will produce polyurethane and latex foam and serve as the hub for Latexco’s fulfillment services. Including a full array of new equipment to increase and improve the foam fabrication and fulfillment services, the expansion will add polyurethane foam production capabilities that will significantly increase product assortment and service options to customers. Latexco officials expect to complete the relocation and have full operation capabilities in the first quarter of 2019.

The latex and polyurethane foam manufacturer recently completed expansion at its eastern facility in Lavonia, Ga., with the installation of its newly branded Pulse latex line produced with the patented SonoCore process which uses radio frequency technology and dielectric heating instead of conventional steam heating and drying for significant energy reduction and more eco-friendly manufacturing.

Among the dignitaries at the Open House, William De Baets, Consul of Belgium in Atlanta, commended Latexco on its commercial and economic contributions to the region. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mayor of Lavonia Ralph Owens, all guests participated in a tour of the 175,000-square-foot plant for closeup views of the Latexco production processes, such as the latex continuous lines and polyurethane box-pouring process; automated cutting lines; and fulfillment processes. Afterwards, the guests were served a product showcase, cocktail reception and dinner.
