Shifman Embraces Social Media

The New Jersey-based Shifman Mattress Company, a leading manufacturer of two-sided, handcrafted mattresses, is “getting social” by preparing to share its secrets with anyone who “likes” them.

“We realize the importance of building a business presence on the Web and we believe that social media marketing will help us increase brand awareness,” says Bill Hammer, president of Shifman.

With its expanded online presence, Shifman hopes to reach more consumers, sharing product details, such as its two-sided, natural cotton, hand-tufted mattresses on eight-way hand-tied boxsprings, which confer health benefits, including added support to correct posture, relieve pressure and increase circulation.

“We take pride in offering a product that is not only unique, but stays true to our tradition of excellence. We look forward to opening communication forums with our consumers and would like more feedback regarding our products” adds Hammer.

Using its Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts, the company’s consumer oriented, easy-to-enter contest is set to launch this spring. Shifman devised the contest to educate consumers about its products and increase traffic to dealers’ social media accounts, websites and stores,
