Malouf recently announced that the company’s graphic design team won two In-House Design Awards from HOW Magazine, one for their deck of custom playing cards and another for their Supima Sheets Las Vegas Market invitation. These projects developed by the Malouf design team were selected among the 70 award-winning designs recognized as some of the top creative work in the country.
“We hold all of our projects to a high standard, and it feels great to be recognized outside of the sleep community and inside the general design world,” said Olivia Godfrey, manager of the Malouf design team.
The Malouf design team earned an Outstanding Achievement Award in the Business-to-Business category for creating a deck of custom playing cards representing the company's products, culture and brand. The deck features 52 unique playing cards and two jokers, all with a variety of Malouf brand-specific elements for an intricate and understated effect. A brief perusal of the cards reveals sun and moon motifs throughout, product materials, and other elements that represent Malouf’s dedication to comfortable sleep. These custom playing cards are given as a small, yet memorable gift for business partners during key tradeshow events in Las Vegas and have also been used to support events for the Malouf Foundation and Ante 4 Autism.
“Our in-house design team is the best in the industry,” said Mike Douglas, vice president of sales. “And they continue to create stunning designs that help our products stand out to customers.”
The Malouf design team also received a Merit Award in the Business-to-Business category for a Las Vegas Market showroom invitation created to introduce partners to new products launched at the 2017 summer market. The invitation featured a Supima cotton product sample to highlight the latest new product release by Malouf and a sleek design to prepare customers for the unique and innovative experience awaiting them when they visit a Malouf showroom.
Together, these two projects have won a total of five national design awards, with three of them being presented earlier this year from International Design Awards (IDA) and Graphic Design USA (GDUSA). The Malouf playing cards received a Bronze Award from IDA and an American Package Design Award from GDUSA. The Supima invitation received an American Graphic Design Award from GDUSA.
