Beautyrest’s Harmony Lux Inspires Ocean-Life Mural
Earlier this year, Beautyrest introduced its new Harmony Lux line featuring SEAQUAL ticking. Each queen mattress uses the equivalent of 50 plastic water bottles retrieved from the world’s oceans.
Alithea Lass of William Thomas Mattress Gallery in Cottonwood, Arizona was so inspired by the new line that she commissioned a 28-foot ocean-life mural for her showroom, with work completed by local artist and scuba diver John Alvey.
“As a scuba diver, this mural was a passion project for me. While traveling to go diving isn’t as feasible at the moment, painting this mural in honor of the Beautyrest Harmony Lux line transported me back to the ocean,” explained John Alvey, the artist commissioned to paint the mural.
In addition to using sustainable materials, the Harmony Lux line also features a range of advanced technologies. These include a new carbon fiber foam for consistent support and gel memory foam directly below the quilted sleep surface for immediate pressure relief. Additionally, the line is made with premium memory foam featuring actual diamond particles to help conduct heat away from the body.
“Beautyrest’s partnership with SEAQUAL to create the Harmony Lux line is a perfect example of the good we can accomplish in the bedding industry. With this mural, I wanted to showcase an effort that was particularly important to me – removing ocean plastics to help save our bodies of water,” said Alithea Lass, owner of William Thomas Mattress Gallery.
In other brand news, Beautyrest recently debuted a new creative campaign, specific to the Harmony Lux line, under the “Sleep First Class” platform. See the spot here.
