Brooklyn Bedding

Brooklyn Bedding’s Bloom Essential Hybrid combines all the superior pressure point relief of latex with the deep compression support of individually encased coils—while also offering a sustainability story. The mattress is made with Talalay Echo foam, which is derived from a process that repurposes unused fabrication cuts to deliver all the benefits associated with latex, while reducing wastefulness.

“The launch of the Bloom Essential Hybrid perfectly aligns with our goal to bring customers an affordable luxury sleep experience, while owning best practices with regard to sustainability,” said John Merwin, owner and CEO at Brooklyn Bedding. “Every mattress we sell is handcrafted in our state-of-the-art factory in Phoenix where we strive for zero waste. Ninety-nine percent of the raw materials we use, from threads and tapes to foams and coils, are recyclable.”

Accessories_Malouf 2In addition to expanding its furniture line-up, adding modular options to existing products and introducing two new designer models, Malouf is spotlighting two of its biggest hits from the Winter Las Vegas Market: its new CBD Pillow Line and its 55 Series of adjustable bases. The company is releasing freshly-upgraded adjustable bed base models within its 55 Series, with even more UPS-shippable options available. In particular, Malouf is highlighting the array of features that are available via the new Malouf Base App. These include Partner Control and hands-free Siri Shortcuts, along with its most innovative addition yet: Snore Detection.

“When creating the Snore Detection feature, our in-house software engineering team collected over 11,000 snore samples and sound clips—allowing the Malouf Base App to detect human snoring and raise an adjustable bed base accurately,” explained Mike Douglas, VP of sales for Malouf. “We received great feedback from accounts at Las Vegas Market about this feature, and we’re excited to share other developments coming soon to the Malouf Base App.”

Motivated by its goal to support brick-and-mortar retail by helping retailers better compete with online brands, the company is offering the Flexhaven collection exclusively to in-store retailers. In recent years, Modway noticed the recurrence of competitors selling online while having retail partnerships. The Modway team recognized the uphill battle that retailers faced as a result of this.

“We saw stores partnering with mattress brands that sold the same products online,” said Yonatan Gordon, Director of Product Development. “After seeing this and asking current accounts for their feedback, we realized the need for a mattress program exclusively for stores.”
