Wright Global Graphic Solutions Wins Six PICA Awards
Wright Global Graphic Solutions was recognized with six awards at this year’s Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA) Awards. The announcement was made on April 26th during the 2013 PICA Awards banquet in Concord, North Carolina with more than 200 industry professionals in attendance. The PICA Awards competition is one of the largest printing contests in the nation.
Acknowledged for its work in the wine and spirits industry and use of new technologies, Wright received two “Best of Category for Digital Printing” awards, two “Special Judges Awards for Digital Printing”, and two “Award of Excellence for Digital Printing”.
“Winning these awards would not be possible without the creativity and dedication of our employees,” said Wright President and CEO Greg Wright. “It is an honor to be recognized and it is especially gratifying when our company’s ongoing commitment to printing excellence is acknowledged by the industry.”
Judging criteria included: registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery and overall visual impact.
