Therapedic International Enters the Egyptian Market

Therapedic Egyptian licenseeTherapedic International has signed a licensing agreement with Egypt’s Comfort Sleep, which will begin producing and selling mattresses and box springs under the Therapedic name effective August 1st. This move marks Therapedic’s first entry into Egypt.

Founded just five years ago, Comfort Sleep, which manufactures its own line of mattresses and pillows, has become a highly recommended bed manufacturer in Egypt. Specializing in zoned mattresses featuring both bonnell and pocket coils, Comfort Sleep produces its own springs under the name Mattress Springs. The company carries a large customer base, since its affiliate company, Escaross Textiles, has been servicing the furniture industry in the Middle East for over 50 years.

“We have seen exponential growth abroad over the last year. As we continue to expand, we seek to form strategic partnerships with companies that not only enhance our bottom line, but also share our vision for building an internationally respected brand. In teaming up with Comfort Sleep, we have found a partner that has the same mission as us: providing customers with high quality products at value prices,” said Therapedic President and CEO Gerry Borreggine. “Right now, Egypt is an underserved market that’s craving high-quality beds and Therapedic is well positioned to make an impact in the region.”

Comfort Sleep CEO Sam Escaross said he is excited for the potential growth opportunities Therapedic presents for his company. “We are delighted to partner with Therapedic,” said Escaross. “The Therapedic name is a well known and well-respected brand in the Middle East. We believe that partnering with such a recognized American mattress name will significantly impact our business here in Egypt.”
