Spring Air International recently appointed Jennifer Groom to the newly created role of director of operations. A 20 year industry veteran, Groom brings a production, inventory control and operations background to the position.
In her new post she will oversee the operations of national accounts, production management and licensee purchasing. She reports to Nick Bates, president of Spring Air International.
“As our business continues to grow, we wanted someone with Jennifer’s experience to help improve our effectiveness and efficiency throughout the organization. Her experience with other national and regional brands gives her a great perspective on the industry and ways in which she will help us continue to serve our licensees and their customers,” said Bates.
Most recently, Groom was office administrator at former Spring Air licensee E&E Bedding, where she worked since 2009. She also was materials manager and inventory analyst at Consolidating Bedding from 2007 to 2009, and was the production planner at the Serta Mattress factory in Middleborough, Massachusetts, from 1998 to 2007.
“Nick and his team have built a tremendous organization and rejuvenated the Spring Air brand. It is an exciting time for Spring Air and I look forward to contributing to its continued success,” said Groom.
A resident of the Boston area, she holds an associate’s degree in computer science from North Shore Community College in Danvers, Massachusetts.
