South Texas retailer Luvill Furniture and Corsicana Mattress sales representative David Rubio each pocketed $10,000 as the top prize winners in a sweepstakes sponsored by Corsicana at the recent Las Vegas Market. The sweepstakes helped promote the launch of Go Corsicana, the company’s dedicated web portal.
Corsicana sales representative Charles May also won $1,000 for recording the most sales during the market.
“The sweepstakes generated a lot of buzz in our showroom and added to the great energy that was present throughout the market,” said Michael Thompson, CEO of Corsicana Mattress. “Our new web portal was well received by our dealers and our sales team because it enables everyone to work more efficiently.”
Go Corsicana is a seamless way for retailers to place orders and track their status. It also allows Corsicana sales representatives to manage sales in their territories or drill down in a specific metro area for additional information.
Corsicana dealers were entered into the sweepstakes by placing an order at market, while sales representatives received an entry for each order entered at market through Go Corsicana. The winners were chosen in random drawings at the end of the show.
Rubio’s sales territory includes Fort Worth, Texas, and parts of the Houston area, while May represents the company in West Tennessee and Mississippi.
The Go Corsicana launch also included a special Presidents Day promotion for the company’s American Bedding brand, which features retail price points of $399 to $599 in queen.
