Prior to joining SHEEX, DiPietrantonio spent over 30 years with The Jones Group, a leading diversified apparel and footwear company. During her tenure there, she served in various capacities of progressive responsibility culminating in the title of Chief Operating Officer. She serves as co-chair and a director of Voluntary Inter-industry Commerce Standards (VICS) and as co-chair of VICS’ Item Level radio-frequency identification (RFID) initiative.
“I am profoundly honored to join SHEEX in this newly created position, particularly at such an exciting time in the company's history,” DiPietrantonio said. “I look forward to working with Susan and Michelle to help build on their portfolio and help to create the exciting next chapter for the company.”
This past summer, DiPietrantonio was honored with the prestigious 2014 GS1 US Apparel and General Merchandise Roger Milliken Achievement Award which recognized her career lifetime of contributions to the apparel and footwear industry, which included working the trenches to push RFID technology forward. An active member of Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Business, she also serves on the Board of Trustees of the College of New Rochelle.
“The energy and clearly defined vision Cindy envisions for SHEEX is so exciting for me to experience as a Co-Founder and Co-CEO,” Brooke-Marciniak said. “She fits perfectly into the innovative and creative model we have for our growing company going forward.”

Inspired by the feel and breathability of athletic performance fabrics, Michelle Marciniak and Susan Walvius, the Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of SHEEX, shook up the bedding world in 2007 by inventing a whole new “Performance Bedding” category in home textiles through breathable, stretchable, moisture-wicking technical fabrics. Michelle and Susan were collegiate basketball coaches at the University of South Carolina before inventing SHEEX in 2007. Both were accomplished collegiate student-athletes: Walvius was a star player at Virginia Tech and later was the 2002 SEC Coach of the Year at the University of South Carolina. Marciniak starred in the WNBA and for USA Basketball and was a collegiate All-America when she played for legendary coach Pat Summitt at the University of Tennessee, where she led the Lady Vols to two Final Fours and the1996 National Championship while earning Final Four MVP honors. Since their initial invention, SHEEX has grown from performance bed sheets to a full line of “top of the bed,” performance cotton, fleece and more.
