SHEEX Brings Dynamic Executives Onboard

SHEEX, Inc., an innovative, New Jersey-based, women-founded and owned company by Co-Founders/Co-CEOs Michelle Brooke-Marciniak and Susan Walvius who invented the world's first performance sheets and sleepwear, announced today that the company has hired Craig Reynolds as its Chief Merchant Officer and Eric Jent as the Executive Vice President for Sales.

“Bringing both Craig and Eric onboard was something that Susan and I believe is a game changer for our SHEEX brand,” Brooke-Marciniak said.  “As we continue to scale, we understand the importance of surrounding ourselves with great talent.  Both Craig and Eric’s industry experience speaks for themselves.”

Reynolds is a dynamic apparel executive with 35 years of proven successes in merchandising, brand building and general management experience across a broad spectrum of business categories.  Jent brings extensive knowledge of the home textiles industry and deep relationships across many channels in the furniture, mattress, department and specialty store channels of distribution.

"One of the things that I learned coaching collegiate basketball for 21 years is that you win with leadership, talent and experience,” Walvius said.   “Craig Reynolds and Eric Jent exemplify these qualities at the highest level in the business arena.  Michelle and I are excited for the entire SHEEX organization to be able to attract the best of the best to our team.”

Before joining SHEEX, Reynolds served as President of Kent and Curwen where he was responsible for the re-launch of the iconic British brand into the luxury marketplace in the United States and Europe. Prior to joining Kent and Curwen, Reynolds spent five years as the Chief Merchant and General Manager of Apparel at Converse. Reynolds ascent as an industry leader in merchandising, product development and brand building was honed during his 14 years with Tommy Hilfiger in various roles including Executive President of Merchandising for Men’s and Boy’s apparel and Senior Vice President of Women’s Design and Merchandising.

“I am thrilled to be a part of such a creative and entrepreneurial enterprise. Susan and Michelle have such a clear vision as to what the mission of the company is and are very open to new ideas that will help achieve that mission, I feel as though there are no limitations on creativity at SHEEX,” Reynolds said.   “Wearing a lot of hats to achieve very specific business goals has always been what has gratified me the most in building brands and I have a great opportunity to do that here at SHEEX.”

Jent most recently served as President for the North American division of Design Weave USA where he was responsible for all facets of daily operations of the basic bedding and sleep essentials business including leadership of overall sales and marketing initiatives, product development, supply chain, and operations. He started at Design Weave as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing before being promoted. Jent’s vast experience in the bedding and furniture industry includes executive management posts at King Koil, Spring Air, Ashley Furniture and Simmons.

"I am excited to join the SHEEX team to lead the sales growth at this pivotal time for the company,” Jent said. “The SHEEX brand is a recognized and respected performance brand within the sleep accessory category, and the addition of their newest partnership with Paramount Sleep creates the first, fully integrated performance sleep system within the industry. As our retail customers look to differentiate themselves in the marketplace, SHEEX has a unique and compelling story to create the strongest sleep message for their consumers."
