Protect-A-Bed continues to build its internal team by promoting Chris Taheny from Sales Trainer to Sales Manager of the Midwest Region. Taheny, who came to the bedding industry from the fitness industry, has spent the last four years supporting stores throughout the Great Lakes region with Protect-A-Bed’s training program.
“I’m really happy to announce Chris’s promotion,” said John Rachid, President of Protect-A-Bed. “He’s put the customers at the center of everything he does at Protect-A-Bed. Many of the retailers he has worked with have went out of their way to share praise and positive feedback on Chris’s efforts and the results he’s created.”
Taheny was named Protect-A-Bed’s Trainer of the year in 2014. This new role will offer expanded challenges and opportunities for Taheny, who will now be responsible for sales management and support throughout the Midwest region.
“I have a great deal of pride building strategic relationships with our customers. It has provided valuable insight into how to assist our retail partners in growing their businesses,” said Taheny. “I am looking forward to working with existing and potential retail partners to develop accessories programs best suited to grow their retail baskets. The second promotion from the Protect-A-Bed training team in as many months, Protect-A-Bed considers its Training Team to be a sustainable source for talent development. “We’ve created something special with the Protect-A-bed training program,” explained Jennifer Hillman, founder of the team. “Our people not only have a deep knowledge of the products, but working directly with retail partners, they get to learn first-hand how to effectively utilize accessories to increase store performance.”
