Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI) announced it has added new retailers to its existing dealer network, increasing the number of relationships to 150 mattress and specialty furniture stores in key markets across the country.
OMI’s Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified sleep products are now sold at ABC Carpet & Home (New York City), Walter E. Smithe (Chicago), H.D. Buttercup (Los Angeles), Safavieh (nationwide), Giggle Baby Boutique (nationwide), and many organic mattress specialty stores throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“For years, retailers have focused on selling conventional mattresses that offer good value, as well as comfort. Hitting the 150-mark is recognition that our retailers are addressing the $30 billion organic consumer market by providing alternatives to traditional innerspring and foam mattresses that provide health advantages, as well as comfort and value,” said OMI’s President and Founder Walt Bader. “The fact that many of our dealers have seen seven-figure sales with our products proves that the mattress industry can address this important mattress segment.”
To help them stand out on the retail sales floor, OMI provides its customers with visually appealing point-of-purchase materials highlighting the health advantages of its products, including upholstered organic chenille headboards; pillows with marketing messages on shams; a matching upholstered mattress base; a foot protector; and a small OMI bun.
OMI mattresses range from $1,995 to $10,000 and come with the OMI Purity guarantee, which pledges that every OMI mattress contains third-party certified raw-materials, employs organic factory processes and has been tested and certified by GREENGUARD for low volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions and the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) for flammability.
