With a recent and dramatic increase in regional and independent dealers adding their line, Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI) has appointed Lauraine Bacon director of sales development to focus on new accounts as well as adding additional support to service and training. Bacon will report directly to President and Founder Walt Bader.
In her newly created role, Bacon will be responsible for prospecting open areas of distribution for OMI nationwide, analyzing the company’s Organic Demographic Studies to focus on specific areas with organic consumer demands, and identifying and assisting new accounts in bringing the OrganicPedic by OMI line of products into additional retail locations.
“Lauraine’s sustainable-industry know-how and sales expertise has proved to be an immediate asset for OMI. She has a great track record of bringing sustainable products and programs to market and we know we will benefit tremendously from her experience,” said OMI’s President and Founder Walt Bader. “More and more independent dealers and smaller regional chains are turning to OMI because we offer a unique product for their floors that sets them apart from the larger chain stores. Not only do we provide great comfort, support and an aesthetically pleasing presentation, our strong certified organic health message provides important additional purchase motivations at the time of the sale. We are confident that Lauraine will successfully bring in those retailers who will benefit most from our product lineup.”
