Malouf Releases Annual Impact Report

In support of National B Corp Month, certified B-Corp Malouf Home recently released its annual impact report highlighting its company-wide sustainability and charitable initiatives.

High-Quality, Sustainable Products

Malouf’s impact report focuses on its mission to help customers live well and sleep better. Malouf provides a wide selection of innovative products, with eco-friendly fabric options including bamboo, latex, TENCEL Lyocell and Supima cotton. To further increase efficiency and sustainability, Malouf also redesigned its sheet packaging to reduce plastic usage by 66 percent.

“Today’s consumers want to purchase from socially responsible brands—that’s a consistent trend we’re seeing across multiple industries,” said Scott Carr, director of brand strategy at Malouf. “Through the many facets of Malouf, we serve a triple bottom line of planet, people and profits—we’re glad that we can provide this value to our retail partners and their customers.”

Charitable Efforts

Malouf’s impact report also highlights the company’s charitable efforts. A portion of all proceeds from Malouf products support the Malouf Foundation’s fight against child sexual exploitation. In 2021, Malouf customers helped contribute over $400,000 to the Foundation. Malouf assumes all administrative and operational costs of the Malouf Foundation, which means every donation makes a direct impact.

“The Malouf Foundation celebrated our five-year anniversary last year, and we’re overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of support we’ve seen from business leaders and  community members,” said Kacie Malouf, co-founder and board chair. “It’s been incredible to see our vision come to life—to advocate for survivors and make a lasting impact.”

Malouf has always considered corporate social responsibility a key part of its business. The company reinforced this commitment in 2019 when they officially joined the B Corp community—standing alongside businesses like Ben and Jerry’s, Toms Shoes and Warby Parker.

B Labs, a nonprofit that oversees the B Corp Certification process, recognizes March as National B Corp Month to highlight businesses meeting the highest standards of social and environmental impact. B Labs requires all B Corps to publish an annual report that shows how they’re maintaining a high level of positive impact.
