Malouf recently hired Adam Stevenson to lead its tradeshow design efforts and increase focus on the customer’s experience with product in stores.
Stevenson has spent the last six years with Cariloha designing retail spaces in the sleep industry, so he understands how consumers interact with sleep products. In the past, Malouf showrooms have centered on a high-end look with a uniquely experiential atmosphere. Stevenson says these highlights won’t change, but the focus moving forward will shift to the end consumer’s experience with product and translating displays directly into stores.
Eric Holmstead, North American sales director, said Stevenson’s background marketing sleep products will further the goals of all Malouf showrooms.
“We’re always looking to give our retail partners the best tools to engage customers in stores. Adam’s skill in designing in-person shopping experiences will help our tradeshow spaces be even more relevant to our partners,” said Holmstead. “As we continue to roll out more product in the Weekender and Wellsville lines, our showrooms will act as a preview of what retailer’s stores could look like.”
As tradeshow schedules continue to be uncertain, Stevenson has been working with his team to find new ways to connect with retail partners. Stevenson said, “Part of our job is creating a merchandizing strategy for all of our products, and that expertise is a great resource for our retail partners. We are experts at making Malouf products shine, so we’re currently building out our consulting process to help others create effective in-store displays.”
