Luuf Partners With NFL Star To Care For The Homeless

Luuf, a direct-to-consumer mattress brand, recently partnered with NFL star Josh Jacobs to benefit the homeless. This special collaboration shares Jacobs’ inspiring story and demonstrates the philanthropic values of the Luuf brand.

Luuf and Jacobs, running back for the Las Vegas Raiders, inked a year-long partnership to provide mattresses for youths in homeless shelters, foster care and transitional housing situations. Collaborating with Jacobs’ foundation, Luuf will provide $100,000 in youth mattresses and work with the foundation and partner organizations to distribute the beds through 2021.

“My motto ‘be good, work hard and have faith’ is something I’ve always tried to live by, and partnering with the Luuf team helps me put all of that together for something very close to my heart,” said Jacobs, who spent most of his childhood homeless with his father and four siblings.

Jacobs will make personal appearances throughout the year with Luuf, including a potential appearance during the January 2021 Las Vegas Market at a local youth outreach facility. Luuf president Mike McQuiston said the event will comply with COVID health and safety guidelines and is subject to change due to the evolving public health situation.

“Giving back is a part of Luuf’s DNA. Josh has an incredible story and getting him in front of kids to inspire them and have real impact in their lives is just as important to us as the donations,” said McQuiston.

Nicole Slinger, Luuf vice president of sales and marketing, said the partnership with Jacobs will provide immediate and direct help to many who have lost their home during the COVID recession.

“We’re inspired by Josh’s journey and his heart for outreach for a cause very personal to him, and LuuF is honored to join forces with him to once again make a real difference during these difficult times that directly help communities in greatest need,” said Slinger.

In June, Luuf donated $30,000 to the First Responders Children’s Foundation and its COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund.

Luuf is a non-toxic, boxed hybrid mattress sourced and made in the U.S. designed to help brick-and-mortar retailers reach consumers with a high-quality affordable product that’s available in-store for rest tests and can be purchased through the retailer or online for dropship.
