Leggett & Platt’s “Sleep Geek Community” Provides Feedback, Raises Money for Charity
In an effort to learn more about bedding industry retail sales associates, Leggett & Platt reached out to its Sleep Geek community to gather insights. Leggett & Platt donated $20 to either the Seena Magowitz Foundation or Autism Speaks on behalf of each respondent. In total, $2,780 went to charity.
“We are committed to listening and learning from retail sales associates. We appreciate all of the RSAs who took part in the survey to raise money for these great charities,” said Mark Quinn, Segment VP of Marketing with Leggett & Platt.
Sleep Geek is the only online community for bedding industry retail sales associates. Sleep Geek is dedicated to connecting RSAs, expanding their knowledge of the industry and enhancing professional development through Geek University. Research results from the RSA survey are available to members of the Sleep Geek community.
The Seena Magowitz Foundation, founded in 2001, is committed to raising awareness and prolonging the life of people facing pancreatic cancer. The foundation holds an annual golf tournament to support the cause and this year Leggett & Platt COO Karl Glassman is the honorary chairman. The Autism Speaks Foundation was started in 2005 and aims to raise funds for research, prevention, treatments and awareness for autism.
