Latex International Hires New Director of Sales to Focus on Pillows
Highlighting the growth of its pillow program, a leading global manufacturer of Talalay latex bedding components, Latex International, announced it has hired Chris Bunce as director of sales.
Bunce first joined Connecticut based Latex International’s sales management team in 2004 and in that role successfully launched the company’s Rejuvenite pillow program, which is now carried in thousands of stores worldwide. Using his experience in the bedding space, Bunce then founded Retail Solution Associates, a progressive training and consulting company which conducted over 10,000 training events at many of the nations’ largest bedding retailers. Bunce’s consumer perspective and unique selling methods helped retailers to both maximize profitability and improve customers’ in-store experience. Bunce also previously worked for six years as a key account representative for leading mattress manufacturer, Simmons. Now, with more than 16 years in the business, Bunce returns to Latex International to manage an expanded portfolio of pillows under Pure LatexBLISS, Rejuvenite as well as private label brands.
“We’re excited to have Chris back on our team. He will take our Classic Talalay Latex pillows along with our latest gel pillow innovations to all levels of retailers from the majors to regional retailers and one store shops,” said Latex International Vice President of U.S. Sales and Managing Director of Global Operations Jim Siragusa. “With the opportunity to increase sales tickets and gross margin dollars, pillows have become an increasingly important category for retailers in the last five years. Our goal is simple, we want to help retailers implement a sales training process that leads to the sale of two pillows with every mattress.”
Bunce received his bachelor’s of science degree in management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He currently resides in Glastonbury, CT with his family.
