Latex International Appoints New Director of Component Sales
Latex International has appointed components veteran Jeff Gober as director of component sales for the company’s western division. With more than 20 years of bedding sales and sales management experience, Gober returns to Latex International to help drive the growth of latex used by mattress manufacturers, specifically in the ever-growing latex hybrid segment. Gober will report directly to Jim Siragusa.
Gober first joined Latex International in 2001, rising through the ranks to become director of sales for the company’s western division. He is credited with increasing division sales by 182 percent from 2002 to 2008 and successfully managing the company’s Evercloud initiative, which resulted in selling out the capacity of the brand’s quilted latex system. Gober left Latex International in 2008 to assume a sales management position with E.S. Kluft & Co., followed by a two-year role serving as national accounts manager at Southerland Bedding. Most recently, Gober served as an accounts manager with FXI, a leading supplier of foam components to the mattress industry.
“We are delighted to have Jeff rejoin our team, especially as hybrid mattresses are becoming increasingly more important to a manufacturer’s and retailer’s product mix. Jeff is a passionate leader and an expert in cultivating both existing relationships and new business. Moreover, his long history of sales success and extensive knowledge of the bedding and retail environment will make him an instrumental player in growing our business on the west coast,” said Latex International President and Chief Executive Officer David Fisher.
