King Koil has appointed Joe Mulcahy to the newly created position of director of internet marketing, announced Owen Shoemaker, senior vice president of international business development and chief innovation officer.
In his new post, Mulcahy, who reports to Shoemaker, will be responsible for developing internet marketing strategies for King Koil, its licensees and retailers, and for the company’s web presence.
Before joining the Top 10 bedding producer, Mulcahy served as the internet call center director for the Bedding Experts chain, headquartered in Chicago, from 2003-12. From 1998 to 2002, Mulcahy owned and operated a six-store Chicago-based retailer that sold futons and mattresses.
“Joe’s extensive knowledge and experience of the internet, social media and the overall online world, coupled with his bedding and retail experience, have made him an excellent addition to our staff,” Shoemaker noted.
