An innovative foam line introduced by Gold Bond at the 2015 Fall high Point Market - the new S-Series with Serene Comfort Foam - is quickly becoming one of the company’s top sellers. The company is the first to feature Carpenter’s non-heat sensitive Serene Comfort Foam with active air technology for a cooler, dryer, more comfortable feel. This innovative foam uses an open cell design that feels like latex, and is more resilient and responsive than gel or visco memory foam.
Serene Comfort Foam is made in the USA, adjustable bed base friendly, and is CertiPUR-US certified. The non-heat sensitive elements in the foam keep the mattress feel consistent in all temperatures. The S-Series Serene is vacuum packed and the packaging is 50-60 percent smaller than most rolled mattresses, which results in lower costs for freight and warehouse storage and more inventory on the truck, adding to the ease of delivery and shopping.
“Serene Foam’s unique, open-cell structure is comprised of large bags of air so the air is filtered in and out of the mattress when you move on it. The active air technology makes for a cooler, dryer, more comfortable feel,” said Gold Bond President Robert Naboicheck. “Coming off of a successful market, there’s no question. This is the next technology in sleep.”
“The fact that the Serene Comfort Foam is not heat sensitive is also a big plus," Naboicheck continued. "The S-Series models will have the same feel when it is cold in Vermont or there is a heat wave in Florida. Retailers can’t sell a ‘frozen’ or ‘mushy’ mattress."
Like the others in the collection, the new 8-inch and 10-inch models have a contemporary look and feature a non-quilted stretch knit cover sleek charcoal grey border design. The top surface fabric is designed to give the bed texture using an abstract, intricate pattern that will stand out on a showroom floor. The new S-Series Serene retails from $599-$799 in queen.
