“Fox & Friends” Rest-Tests Kingsdown’s Sleep Smart Mattress
Kingsdown’s Sleep Smart sleep system was featured on Fox News Channel’s morning show, Fox & Friends, in a segment called “Gadgets to help you get a good night’s sleep.” Fox News Anchor Elisabeth Hasselbeck began the segment by lying down to “rest-test” Sleep Smart, while Tech Expert Cassie Slane demonstrated how the mattress uses technology to “read” a sleeper’s body and make ergonomic adjustments in order to create an individualized sleep surface.
After leaving the television program The View to join Fox & Friends, Hasselbeck is adjusting to a much different sleep schedule, which proved to be the catalyst for the segment that aired September 30th. As she relaxed on Sleep Smart, the mattress immediately started to analyze her body and make the appropriate ergonomic adjustments to create a personalized “fingerprint.” Viewers could see the bed adjusting in real time via the Sleep Smart app, which as Slane explained provides daily data updates to users, “It will tell you how you slept through the night, all the times that you woke up, your quality of sleep. It’s amazing like that.”
“We were thrilled that Fox selected us for their report on high-tech sleep gadgets. It really highlights how unique Sleep Smart is. It’s the most intelligent sleep system in the industry and we’re proud of that. For the first time, your bed doesn’t just lie there – it’s actually at work each night monitoring your movements, understanding your pain, easing pressure and tracking sleep patterns,” said Kingsdown President and CEO Frank Hood.
The first “interactive” sleep experience, Sleep Smart mattresses are designed to learn an individual’s body and make the appropriate ergonomic adjustments, effectively creating a “fingerprint” or “signature” for each sleeper. The sleep system will continually study sleep patterns and identify parts of the body in pain in order to soothe those areas each night and optimize sleep. As a body changes – due to injury, pregnancy, or age – Sleep Smart changes, constantly adjusting itself to meet individual sleep needs. The optional Sleep Smart app available for both Apple and Android devices also allows sleepers to create a personal profile.
