In an effort to expand its design and technology capabilities, Customatic Adjustable Bedz, a retail solutions provider dedicated to the advancement of technology in adjustable bases and other home products, adds new team member, Dan Riley, to its engineering and product design team. Riley, a product engineer has had experience working for mattress manufacturer, Tempur Sealy International as well as Big Ass Solutions, a manufacturer of commercial and residential fans.
Riley joins Customatic in the newly created position of senior electrical and project engineer. In the new position, he will work closely with the company’s engineering team to implement new technologies into the company’s growing product line. Riley reports to Robert Eskridge, vice president and chief engineer.
“We are making major strides in pushing innovation forward in the sleep products arena by developing creative products that help improve people’s sleep and this step to enhance our design and engineering team is one more step for us to elevate product design,” said Phil Sherman, president of Customatic. “Our team is constantly thinking outside of the box to develop new approaches to design and product development and expanding our engineering department with smart talent will certainly allow us to build on our creativity.”
Riley’s industry experience includes nearly three years with Tempur Sealy International as global products engineer in the company’s research and development department where he helped develop advanced technology and adjustable bedding products. Prior to joining Customatic, Riley was program manager and senior electrical engineer for Big Ass Solutions, the manufacturer of Big Ass Fans for residential and commercial installations. Additionally, he held a number of design and engineering positions with Lexmark, Texas Instruments, MacLellan Integrated Services and Lockheed Martin Astronautics.

Riley earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Kentucky. He lives in Lawrenceville, Kentucky with his children.
