Corsicana Expands Military Program

A long-standing supporter of America’s armed forces, Corsicana Mattress is expanding its product presence at the United States military exchanges. The program expansion will enable Corsicana to offer a broader product selection as well as special pricing to military personnel on its American Bedding, NightsBridge, EarlyBird, Renue and Sleep Inc. brands.

The military program strategically positions the company into new key distribution channels and creates a broader digital footprint for each of its brands. The expansion also aligns with Corsicana’s recent acquisition of Symbol Mattress, which allows for further servicing of consumers looking to purchase mattresses for under $1,000—the most popular buying segment in the industry.

“This extension is crucial to our effort to strengthen our bond with the American military,” said Michael Thompson, chief executive officer of Corsicana. “It will also bolster our status as a handcrafted-in-the-USA manufacturer, highlighting both the care and craftsmanship we put into the manufacture of each of our mattresses and our gratitude to our military personnel who risk their lives in serving our country.”

Corsicana began its military partnership in early 2020

Corsicana began its partnership with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) early on in 2020, starting with one model and within a year has grown its presence on the exchange to now feature 25 bed in a box models. The company also sells products to other military exchanges, including the Navy Exchange (NEX), the Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) and locations that serve members of the Coast Guard (CGX).

“The programs we run with the exchanges have become an important element in enhancing our distribution channels,” said Scott Miller, vice president of Corsicana’s contract division. “They also solidify the importance of Corsicana’s commitment to making everyday life better for hardworking Americans, especially those who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.”

The company is also participating in the exchange’s Memorial Day and 4th of July events with full page print ads and through social media campaigns.
