Blu Sleep Continues Its US Expansion With New Florida Warehouse

Blu Sleep Products continues its expansion into the United States with the opening of their first US distribution center, warehouse and assembly plant in Pompano Beach, Florida. Company co-owners Alex and Elizabeth Ciccolella say that sales of their uniquely designed European engineered foam pillows, toppers and mattresses have increased in the US, and that it was time to take steps to better service customers in the United States.

Alex Ciccolella, who is a biochemist, works closely in collaboration with European and American factories to engineer and produce foams that are made specifically for Blu Sleep Products to be marketed in North America. “This new warehouse and assembly facility will help us overcome sales resistance from US retailers who were concerned about shipping time and cross border delays,” says Ciccolella. “All of our products will be offered from our Florida facility from this point on. Our customers are very excited to hear about this, and we anticipate an even greater increase in business by opening this US-based facility.”

The company’s National Sales Manager, Brian Sherebrin, who has over 30 years of experience in the bedding industry, will oversee the operations of the Florida plant.

Earlier this year, Blu Sleep took the company’s first steps in US expansion by opening in Las Vegas during the winter market. The company also expanded their pillow line with four new wool-based pillows and four new fiber-based pillows along with the grand introduction of the company’s new six bed Somni Specialty Sleep Mattress Collection. Models within the six-bed introduction included variations of breathable, open-cell foams, memory foams, foamed gels, latex, bio-based and polyurethane foams.
