Performance brand BEDGEAR recently announced several tactical new hires and elevations within its Accounting department. These strategic decisions were made to focus on building an efficient and cross-functional Accounting department under the direction of BEDGEAR’s Controller, Robert Reyna, who was formerly the Director of Corporate Finance at Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. The past year of exponential company and product growth has allowed BEDGEAR to set a standard for corporate excellence.
Elevations within the organization
In establishing an emphasis on building an effective credit management plan, BEDGEAR elevated Justine DeRogatis to Credit Manager. The Credit Manager role is a newly defined role, and DeRogatis is the first to hold the title. During the last three years, Justine has been instrumental in strategically guarding against the inherent risks of extending credit to new and existing customers in a rapidly changing market landscape.
“Justine DeRogatis has developed strong relationships with our retail partners, and we trust she will elevate our retailers’ journey with BEDGEAR from the onset,” said Reyna. “Having a strong credit management plan in place helps protect the company’s cash flow, optimizes business performance related to Accounts Receivable and reduces the possibility of customer defaults that adversely impact BEDGEAR’s achievement of business goals.”
New faces in the accounting department
To bolster the high-performing Accounts Receivable team, BEDGEAR welcomes Shanna Johnson as Accounts Receivable Specialist. Johnson brings extensive experience to the team with a strong background in Accounting, most recently with Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP. Working alongside the team, Johnson will aid in setting a standard of excellence for Accounts Receivable.
Also joining the team as Staff Accountant is Ali Chaudhry. He comes to BEDGEAR from Select Products Holdings, Inc. In this new role, Chaudhry will work to optimize financial reporting, sales tax execution and general accounting within the department.
