Bedgear Names Jeremy Fennema as Vice President of Digital

As Bedgear Performance continues its expansion, the company recently appointed Jeremy Fennema as Vice President of Digital. He will leverage the digital e-commerce business in partnership with key retailers who have committed to the retail affiliate program for performance mattresses. In this newly created position, Fennema will play an integral role in leading digital innovations and sleep technologies in the performance lifestyle category. Fennema will support the overall marketing strategy and build the Informational Technologies and Digital Marketing teams.

“We want to be the conduit for the evolution of the omnichannel experience in the home furnishings industry,” said Bedgear founder and CEO, Eugene Alletto. “As we evolve Bedgear and create more performance products it is only expected we begin to put an emphasis on sleep technology. Jeremy will begin to connect the dots between our performance products and wearable technology.”

Fennema comes to Bedgear from the online retail and e-commerce space where he helped grow a unique direct-to-consumer company to an internet marketplace powerhouse doing $5.9B in sales internationally. Prior to that, he owned his own successful web development firm, worked at GE Global eXchange Solutions implementing enterprise EDI solutions for Fortune 50 businesses, helped establish a non-profit economic development agency in Baltimore and spent eight years in the US Army as a Counter Intelligence Agent.

Fennema’s aspirations did not originally start with business. After getting his Bachelors in Physics and Math, he continued on to pursue a Ph.D. in Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Chicago and then Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
