Bedgear has announced the hire of industry veteran Justin Gannon as Director of Sales. Justin comes to bedgear with 17 years experience in merchandising, marketing and sales management from both retail and wholesale sides of the mattress business.
Bedgear’s new mattress series - debuting at the Las Vegas Home Furnishings Market in January - leverages bedgear’s proven fitting process based on sleep position and body type, bringing a differentiated product to retailers and allowing consumers to select the Independent Suspension for each side of the bed in a “driver/passenger” configuration. Focusing on the rising Millennial demographic, bedgear aims to entice this shopper into specialty mattress retailers to get a bed fit for their needs, in addition to providing interactive tools assisting with mattress selection and online purchasing.
Gannon will utilize his considerable experience and knowledge to launch bedgear’s new division of personalized “sleep surfaces,” and will play a key role in driving national sales strategies, merchandising, accelerating growth of bedgear’s customer base and developing new business opportunities in the US for the mattress category.
