Thread Experiment, a home bedding brand dedicated exclusively to men, recently launched a new comforter and duvet cover set in with footwear designer, Noah Waxman. The collection is Thread Experiment’s newest featured menswear designer collaboration, which it has done in the past with names such as David Hart and Hook & Albert.
Thread Experiment currently offers bedding collections of duvets, comforters, sheets and throw blankets that embrace seasonal interpretations of menswear fashion trends in 100% long-staple cotton. The brand was co-founded in the Spring of 2015 by entrepreneurs Greg Shugar, Justin Mikita and Greg Winner and has become known for its commitment to bringing everyday style into the bedroom. Thread Experiment will celebrate its 4-year anniversary this April.
“We are thrilled to include Noah into our Spring 2019 collection. Noah’s flare and modern aesthetic is made for the Thread Experiment customer, which makes this collaboration so great,” says Greg Shugar, co-founder of Thread Experiment. “We began paving the way for men to incorporate everyday style into their homes with our seasonal bedding collections, and Noah’s bold geometric Delft design is a welcome addition to our latest.”
Noah Waxman is a New York City-based designer who studied handmade shoemaking while living in Holland for ten years. "I'm excited for this opportunity to design a bedding collection for Thread Experiment," remarks Noah. "Like shoes, sheets are so personal, and my Delft Blue design is perhaps my most personal. My many years living and studying in the Netherlands are a constant source of inspiration. I love creating products that have a sense of history, a sense of beauty, a sense of utility and, if all goes well, a sense of humor."
The comforters and duvet covers are now available exclusively on ThreadEx.com and retail at $128-$178, depending on size. This is a one-time run so once the products are sold out, they won’t be remade.
About Thread Experiment: Thread Experiment is the first ever brand of its kind, designing home bedding dedicated exclusively to men. Launched in May 2015 by co-founders Greg Shugar, Justin Mikita and Greg Winner, the collection includes duvet covers/comforters, sham pillow cases and full sheet sets in a variety of color variations in linen/cotton blends, as well as printed and textured woven cottons. The designs embrace seasonal interpretations of menswear fashion trends at an attainable price point.
About Noah Waxman: While strolling the streets of Amsterdam, Noah Waxman noticed a collection of unusual shoes in the window of an unassuming Dutch home. They were so beautiful, different and clearly handmade, that Noah found himself ringing the doorbell to learn anything and everything he could about these shoes. The man who answered the door explained that he had made them, and offered to introduce Noah to the skilled craftsmen who taught their artistry in the nearby city of Utrecht.
Taking him up on the offer further than he would have ever imagined, Noah settled in Amsterdam and spent a decade dedicating his life to learning the craft of traditional shoe-making under masters in the field. Returning to the US, Noah launched his eponymous line of men’s footwear in 2013, creating a brand committed to offering the highest quality product to men in search of something at once classic and unique. His love for all-American style coupled with his classic European training has resulted in a new and notable brand that stands apart from mass produced labels.
