Marshall Mattress is debuting a unique Rest Assured limited edition sleep set called “Heritage” to mark its 115th Anniversary celebration with long-time retailer partner, Hudson’s Bay, at its stores across Canada.
Marshall Mattress, the first mattress manufacturer to invent and incorporate the original pocket coil into its beds, has been constructing mattresses in Canada with the highest quality materials available since 1900. With its clean, hand-tailored aesthetic, the new two-sided Heritage is designed to offer the same superior comfort, support and performance for which the company is known.
At the core of the plush, handcrafted queen Heritage model is 1,002 individual pocket coils wrapped and sewn in unbleached natural cotton muslin fabric, thick layers of New Zealand wool, and a mixture of soft and firm convolute soy foams. Its interior upholstery features full contour Aer-Fōm to offer a luxurious surface and temperature neutral sleep environment.
The Heritage is custom tailored in a cotton/viscose blend damask cover fabric that is combined with the company’s CleanSleep hypoallergenic, anti-dust mite finish for a healthier, more breathable night's sleep. Foundations are available in three heights, standard seven and a half-inch and two-inch and four-inch low profile models. Heritage is available exclusively at Hudson’s Bay and is $2,499 in queen.
“115 years ago, company founder James Marshall invented and patented the first pocket coil, making the Marshall Mattress brand synonymous with innovation, design and Canadian luxury,” said Marshall Mattress Managing Partner Brad Warner. “This is an exciting stage in our company’s history and we wanted to make a bold statement by offering a limited edition introduction with our retail partner, Hudson’s Bay. This launch is the first of many things we have planned to commemorate our 115th Anniversary.”
About Marshall Mattress: Founded in 1900 by machinist and engineer James Marshall, Toronto-based Marshall Mattress is best known for its handcrafted luxury pocket coil mattress collections. Marshall invented and patented the original Marshall Pocket Coil, the first independent spring system designed to provide a unique, optimum, comfort and support environment for sleep. The company pairs luxurious materials – such as cotton wrapped and individually-sewn pocket coils, natural New Zealand wool, pure cotton, and finely woven Belgian damask fabric – with new technologies, and quality manufacturing. Today run by the Warner family, the company employs a staff of 35 administrative and craftspeople. Its approach to handcrafting mattresses is still similar to that of founder James Marshall. Marshall Mattress manufacturers its pocket coils, one and two-sided luxury mattresses and box springs from its 50,000 square-foot facility in Toronto’s North Corridor.
