Consumers Digest awarded Restonic's ComfortCare collection with the Consumer Digest Best Buy Award in the March/April 2012 issue. This is the 8th award for the mattress company. In the article, “Finding Your Comfort Zone”, Consumer Digest says “The ComfortCare line is a case of a repeat selection that got even better in 2011”
Ron Passaglia, Restonic President, commented “receiving this award for the 8th time on our ComfortCare line, reinforces the value we bring to our retailers, and consumers – and emphasizes Restonic’s core value – Supporting Dreams”. According to the magazine, a Consumers Digest Best Buy is defined as a product that offers the most value for a given amount of money. The magazine editors have defined such products as those that merit special attention from consumers based on a combination of performance, quality of materials, features, quality of construction, styling and warranty.
Addtionaly consideration is based upon manufacturer reputation and reliability. The Consumers Digest Best Buy recommendation is based on criteria derived from at least three of the following: 1. Personal (hands-on) product evaluations by the authors and researchers; 2. Independent testing and researching facilities; 3. Other independent technical experts; 4. Retail establishments; 5. Service outlets; 6. Consumer Digest reader and other consumer surveys; 7. Previously published evaluations in books, magazines, newspapers, websites, etc. Of the thousands of products that are evaluated by Consumers Digest, fewer that 10% meet the quality and value standards required by the magazine’s editors to receive a Best Buy designation.
"We are pleased that yet another independent expert has recognized the superior performance and tremendous value of our flagship ComfortCare collection” said Passaglia. “Receiving a Best Buy is exciting, but earning eight Consumers Digest Best Buy nods is a unique honor that symbolizes Restonic’s dedication to excellence and our Brand Promise”.
Consumer Digest editors commented, “The ComfortCare line is a case of a repeat selection that got even better. In 2011 Restonic added individually wrapped coils to models that begin in the middle of the of the line’s price range. The new coils reduce motion transfer.”
“Restonic has implemented real world value and comfort into the entire ComfortCare line – featuring the exclusive Marvelous Middle support in the center third of the sleep set – which works to reduce sagging. The construction of our open and wrapped coils in ComfortCare also reduce motion transfer and partner roll-together. The entire collection offers consumers a better nights sleep, at a Consumers Disgest recognized Best Buy value.” expressed Ron Passaglia.
